From the 21st to the 23rd of March 2024, GMR Aerocity transformed into a vibrant hub of Rajasthani culture and heritage as it played host to the much-anticipated event, “Inside Rajasthan”. In collaboration with Mon Amour Gallery, this three-day extravaganza offered an immersive journey into the heart of Rajasthan, showcasing its rich traditions, vibrant art forms, and delectable cuisine. Sponsored by esteemed brands like Kitchens of Bharat, Cake Buckets & More, and Greenish for Gifting, the event promised an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

The Grand Inauguration

The event kicked off with great pomp and fervour on the 21st of March, marking the beginning of a cultural odyssey like no other. Attendees were welcomed with open arms as they stepped into a world adorned with Rajasthani motifs, vibrant colours, and the soul-stirring melodies of traditional music. The ambience was electric, setting the stage for an unforgettable journey through the cultural landscape of Rajasthan.

A highlight of the inaugural day was the captivating Pabu Ji Phad narration by National Awardee Phad Painter, Sri Kalyan Joshi. With masterful strokes and poignant storytelling, Joshi mesmerised the audience, offering valuable insights into the age-old art form of Phad painting. Attendees were transported back in time as they learned about the legends, myths, and historical narratives depicted on these intricate scrolls, gaining a newfound appreciation for this revered Rajasthani tradition.

As the event unfolded, each day brought forth a plethora of cultural activities and engagements, delighting attendees with the diverse tapestry of Rajasthani heritage. Live performances by sarangi maestros, enchanting flautists, and skilled ektara players filled the air with melodious tunes, evoking a sense of nostalgia and reverence for Rajasthan’s musical legacy.

The second day of the event, on the 22nd of March, was marked by an enlightening storytelling session about Early Pichwai artwork. Attendees gathered eagerly to hear tales of gods and goddesses, kings and queens, woven into the intricate tapestries of Pichwai paintings.
